Sensiba’s John Sensiba honored by City of Pleasanton
Sensiba LLP, a leading Northern California-based CPA and business-consulting firm, is proud to announce that Managing Partner, John Sensiba, was presented with the City of Pleasanton’s prestigious Mayor’s Award for 2015.
“It was a special honor and a pleasant surprise to be recognized by Mayor Jerry Thorne,” said Sensiba. “Community service is very important to me and it is a core principal of our firm. We proudly serve and are passionately committed to finding ways to improve the communities in which we live and work.”
As a well-known city and civic leader, Sensiba received this award, in part, for his participation on the team that guided the ValleyCare Health System into a successful merger with Stanford Health Care. Saving a financially ailing hospital and joining it with Stanford’s health system will bring tremendous health care benefits to the Tri-Valley. Building upon Stanford’s preeminent academic health system capabilities, ValleyCare has become an even stronger and more vibrant community hospital.
Sensiba has been recognized in the past by the Glass Hammer in 2012 as one of the “Men Who Get It,” and received both the Tri-Valley YMCA’s Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Legacy award and the Ed Kinney Community Patriot award last year. This recent year, Sensiba served as the Corporate Chair for the Tri-Valley’s Walk to Cure Arthritis and is the current Chairman of the Board for the Innovation Tri-Valley Leadership Group.
