Sensiba mourns the passing of one of their leaders
Fresno, Calif., July 22 – It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the passing of John Moffat, a leader of Sensiba’s Fresno office.
John’s passing was sudden and unexpected on Saturday, July 6, at the age of 68. He leaves behind his wife, Jill and many admirers at Sensiba and in the community.
John joined Sensiba in January 2017 when his firm, Slater Moffat Associates, LLP, was acquired by Sensiba. Since then, John has been a valued leader in Sensiba’s Fresno location.
John was heavily involved in the Fresno community and the accounting profession. He worked with the Fresno Madera Area Agency on Aging, Fresno City and County Historical Society, and was the Fresno Mayor’s appointee for the Blue Ribbon Commission on Historical Preservation. John was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and worked closely with the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was Qualified as an expert witness in Fresno, Tulare and Merced Counties through the Member Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
“John was a wonderful man who embodied our values,” said John Sensiba, Sensiba’s managing partner. “Not only will Sensiba miss him tremendously, but his church, his community and most of all his family will mourn the loss of a principled man of great character.”
Memorial Services for John Moffat will be on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Fig Garden Swim and Racquet Club in Fresno at 6:00 p.m.
